Corporate Governance and Executive Compensation Principles

Organizations around the world have been working on principles for corporate governance and executive compensation for a number of years. The Delves Group has drawn on all of these principles in developing its principles-based governance and compensation methods.

In working with the IDEC Project, we assembled these principles and codes on corporate governance in general, and executive compensation in particular, to highlight the latest thinking available. They fall under two categories: currently proposed and existing/implemented.

(Clicking on the links below opens a page on the IDEC Project website. Those pages describe the organization listed, explain its work on principles, and provide links to principles documents.)

1. Currently Proposed Principles

Comments are still being invited by these organizations:

2. Existing/Implemented Principles

Each of the above organizations were selected because of an executive compensation component and the organization’s expectation for independent directors to take the lead in this process.
